I am tired of being tired, and the weekend is going to be a busy one. I just want to crawl back into bed, sleep, and maybe transcribe some more story stuff.
Today is the Advisory Committee meeting, where we meet with members of industry to get feedback on the state of the multimedia field and ask them questions about what the dept. should be teaching. It really helps ME to go to these twice-a-year meetings because it gives me information I can pass on to students about the health of the industry. I wasn't able to go last semester because I was team-teaching three basic Flash classes for junior-high students during the time of the meeting. I would have MUCH preferred going to the meeting, and not just because I utterly ABHOR Flash. I abhor children too.
The day before yesterday, my main boss decided we should give the members a little thank you gift, so she got some stuff from our promo dept. and brought some other stuff in. Yesterday I filled up purple mugs with candy, a little duck fuzzy thing and a nice pen. I looped the bottle opener/keychain through the purple wire I used to tied off the green cellophane. The wire was just sticking out so I curled the ends around a pencil so it had a slinky look. *snicker* That art degree comes in handy! I wish I had known about this earlier and I would have brought in some of my fancy-edged scissors to cut the cellophane. Next year, the boss wants to give some of the nice promo polo shirts. I agree.
Got an email yesterday, stating the final draft of the Fall schedule was due today, if possible, early Monday morning at the very latest. We have NO idea where we will find the time today to get it done, since the Advisory Committee meeting takes up about three hours of the day already. I have a lot of juggling to do this morning beforehand.
Talon, I haven't forgotten the beta. It is VERY intense and I can only read a little bit at a time every evening before having to put it down. I WILL get it done, but my timeframe has had to move some. This is NOT a Chibi Tale! It is well-written but very disturbing...
Off to get ready for work.
Thanks: --> to Lia, my sensei, who has inspired me to draw again. I
wouldn't be doing this without your support, Domo Arigato!
--> to Talon, for sending me her fabulous fics, inspiring me with her writing to draw my first
illustration for a story and actually liking what I drew.
--> to Dasia, for her words of encouragement when drawing her original chara.
--> to Joules, a wonderful epic fic writer, for liking my art enough to want to post them with Talon's
and her own stories.
--> to Lutra, the other half of the epic team, for being so supportive.
--> to Jacque' & Becca Raddittzu, we met on eBay as bidder and sellers and now we are face-to-face
friends. You showed us the real DBZ with your fansubs. It's all your fault the house is full of
doujinshi! *LOL*
